Number 2 Review – The Blue Note
The Blue Note has been around longer than people have even heard of Second Life. With its first appearance in 2005 on the Mina sim, Naydee McGettigan has stressed the romance of SL in so many forms. With her traditional DJ schedule on Saturdays from 6:30 pm slt to midnight which she DJs herself, the Cool Cat exclusive group shows up on a regular bases to rock out the blues, big band, jazz, swing, and more. I personally have been a Cool Cat for a long period of time when I first appeared on the SL scene in 2006, but with my own regular schedule of events and Arbor things, I don’t get off my sim.
However, as I started this blog, my first thought was to the Blue Note since it is a place where a lot of my own personal events happened there. With its own sim named the Blue Note, large and unique dance floor, exclusive invite only stores, Naydee’s own furniture and gift shop, and semi private dance and cuddle place, I believe makes the best romantic sims to find someone special, kindle a flame that is a spark, or to keep the embers going.
Appearing back on the scene once more in so many months to take pictures and to refresh my memory of what the sim had to offer, I was pleasantly surprised to find that many things have changed. I shouldn’t be surprised since Nay is like me and likes to change things up. Keep the major elements in place, but to move things around to keep the regulars coming back and exploring what the sim has to offer.
I was taken aback by the lovely heart shaped island, the butterfly pavilion, a beach to lie with your friends and partners, and even a hide away place I am not spilling out just yet.
I do love the complimentary lover’s walk you can use to explore things as well. I also found a whole another sim that is in development. I would have been sneaky and explored, but I do not condone looking without permission. It is one of my pet peeves to being with.
I did the honorable thing and looked at Nay’s picks and found out the sim is called Cape Blue and will be the new area for all the Cool Cats to roam around as well to be the new shopper’s paradise galore. MMMMM maybe I should talk to her about a café/bakery idea.
If you ever want a great experience and you love the blues, rock, jazz, and more I would check out her own personal event on Saturdays from 6:30 to about midnight. Also, she seems to have two other regular events on Mondays with Bigjack from 7 pm to 10 pm and on Wednesday (which are for the romantics) with DJ Kaa from 7:30pm to 10:30 pm.
They usually request formal wear, but all are really welcomed as long as they follow the rules which are posted at the door.
All are reasonable and quite common sense in a classy place like this.
Take a look below with all the pictures.
